Sorry for the lack of updates recently. I have been really busy with school stuff. Anyway, thank you to Cloudy for letting me know of a new promotional Merlin photo. She also informed me that the DVD for Merlin Volume 1 is now out in the UK!
I also added screen captures from last Saturday’s episode! Katie wasn’t in it very much, but we got to see Morgana fight!
The Merlin official website has a new picture of Morgana and Arthur from the upcoming episode, “Moment of Truth.” No pretty gown this time! I like the costume change. As well, I added a picture of Katie posing with the cast of Merlin for Children in Need. Thank you, Vicki.

Katie was photographed for Instyle Magazine last month and I didn’t even know about it. Thank you to Tara for letting me know! I added the scans to the gallery.
“I went through a real punk stage—I had braids, red hair, pink hair, green hair, I cut it into a Mohawk, the lot. Then about five years ago, I dyed it dark and stayed out of the sun to get pale, because I hated looking like everyone else, all blonde hair and tanned skin.”
Thank you so much to Anna for informing me of an new article for Arena and photoshoot with Katie (and for her continuous help). Katie looks ridiculously pretty in these new pictures. Thank to the article, we know a bit more about Katie. You can read the entire thing at the Arena website. If anyone can make scans for the site, I would appreciate it very much (I don’t live in the UK).
It’s fitting that the 25-year-old Dubliner got the job of being squeezed into a succession of improbably tight medieval dresses, having served an apprenticeship as a wardrobe assistant on The Tudors. “I had an amazing time, lacing girls into corsets,” she recalls.
It led to a small role in the sex-and-ruffles melodrama. “A couple of the producers said I should give acting a try. I just thought, ‘Why not?’ It’s like running away to join the circus, everyone wants to do it when they’re young but then you grow up and get a proper job. But somebody’s got to do it or you wouldn’t have the circus.”
But if you’ve been bewitched by the delightful Ms McGrath, be sure to do your homework before making your move. “I go for really smart guys, ones who are well-read and can banter and argue,” she says. “Men need to be able to take me out and have a few drinks, but by the end of the night we’ll be talking about Nietzsche.”
I finally uploaded screen captures from the recent episode of Merlin. Katie is only in it for a few scenes this time.
Thank you to Laura for sending me video clips from Katie’s and Angel’s appearance on Sound. I made screen captures for the gallery. I will work on getting the video clips, including Merlin episode clips, on the site soon! On the show, Katie says they let her use her real Irish accent on the show.
The title of the Katie’s upcoming film, Freakdog, will revert back to its original title of Red Mist for its US DVD release this February.
Formerly called Freakdog, Red Mist bows on disc February 10, 2009. Anchor Bay’s presentation will include:

Katie and Angel Coulby, who plays Guinevere on Merlin, were at the BBC2 show Sound. I added a few images that I could find to the gallery. I will try and get more and add them soon! This are the first event pictures we have in the gallery and Katie looks lovely. Katie was briefly interviewed on the show Points of View, which featured a behind-the-scenes look at Merlin. You can view it on Youtube. Katie talks about her proudest moments on the show (working with child actor Asa Butterfield, who played Mordred) and gives us teasers about episodes 12 and 13. I added a few screen captures to the gallery!
